The final day for René’s riding fundraiser
After more than a month, today is the final day on the road for our riding champion René Heyde.
After starting in Perth on August 1st, René will complete his 4,000-kilometre journey this afternoon in Geelong, near Melbourne, following 36 days of cycling.
He has been on an incredible adventure navigating the wild back roads of Australia, pushing himself mentally and physically to complete this challenge.
Thank you for riding for Cholmondeley René, we truly appreciate the enormous effort you have gone to for our tamariki.
Cholmondeley Children’s Centre Board Chair, Nettles Lamont, has joined René for the final day of his ride, accompanying him as he crosses the finish line.
"It is important to the centre and our Chair that we encourage our lovely René in response to the incredible generosity he has shown the tamariki of Cholmondeley by us showing up too," said Cholmondeley Children's Centre General Manager, Toni Tinirau.
”Today is the last day to donate so please head to Givealittle to show your support,” Toni said.
