We are so appreciative of all the ways people help us. The most important way people can assist Cholmondeley is by donating money to the operational costs of the home. This money goes directly towards the running costs of the home. This is the most direct way your donation can assist the children.

Christchurch Earthquake

Cholmondeley needs your support now, more than ever after the devestating earthquake that hit Christchurch recently. The building at Cholmondeley has been badly damaged and Cholmondeley has temporarily relocated to Living Springs.

The short term respite service Cholmondeley offers the children in Canterbury is so important right now. Children and their families will start to feel many pressures and stresses in the home as a result of the earthquake. Cholmondeley is here to offer these children a much needed break.

Your donation will mean we can pay the operating costs of keeping Cholmondeley running. Some of these include wages, food and power.

We have been overwhelmed by lovely messages from our friends and supporters from around the world offering their help and for this we are both grateful and humbled. We do need your help.

One of the ways that you could do this would be to set up your own fundraising page using Fundraise on Line. It's very simple and and an easy way for you, your friends and colleagues to get involved.

Setting this page up is simple and allows donors to leave messages of support next to their donation.

Join Charity Begins at Home

Sign up to give a dollar a day! Your ongoing support is vitally important to the work we do at Cholmondeley. Please contact the Fundraising Team on 03-329 9832 (xtn 704 or 716) and we can send an automatic payment authority out to you.

Payroll giving

The easy way to get your employees involved with your chosen charity. There are two ways and you can choose whatever suits your workplace and payrolls system best.
1. Donating a specific amount each week/fortnight/month - eg. 10 dollars a week taken directly from your pay with the accumulated company total being transferred directly to Cholmondeley
2. Donating an "hour of your pay" - donate the last hour's pay of the week to Cholmondeley. The amount you donate would directly relate to how much you are paid per hour, again the accumulated company total would be directly transferred to Cholmondeley. Why not donate your final hour on a Friday.....you're not really going to be doing any work that hour, now are you!?
If your company would like to upgrade the employee giving then why not match the employee donations dollar for dollar. That way the employee and employer are both equal contributors in the charity partnership.

Wishlist

With such a large family we always need a variety of items, toothbrushes and toiletries, a new trampoline, meat and vegetables, anything we don't have to pay for helps to reduce our costs. Please have a look at our Wishlist to find out more about what we need.
