General Manager - Shane Murdoch

Prior to working at Cholmondeley Shane spent 10 years in various residential management roles with Barnardos NZ.
Shane has a significant amount of knowledge around residential (group care) and brings an outcome based approach to ensuring Cholmondeley provides quality and effective services today and in the future.
After working as a Nurse Shane trained as an Alcohol and Drug Counsellor and developed an interest in working with young people.
In 1999 Shane became a member of the inaugural management team responsible for developing Te Poutama Arahi Rangatahi - a residential programme for adolescent males with behavioural problems. Shane finished his time there in 2007 as Acting Manager.

Edwina Poynton - Care Services Manager

Edwina comes from a long career in social work in Ireland, the UK and here in New Zealand.
The cornerstone of Edwina's work is working from a strengths perspective and enabling the voices of children to be heard in decisions that are made affecting them.
Edwina manages all of the Operational and practice management for all care services including the teams of Care staff and the strategies for social work, psychology and the children's care plans.

Anney Collin - Education Services Manager

Anney is a qualified Primary and early childhood teacher. Anney has worked at various schools in Christchurch including Aorangi and Fendatlon and Richmond Primary Schools.
Anney is a director of RATA a teacher support Trust which assists to educate teachers in India and Africa.
The approach taken at the Cholmondeley School is a strength based programme that supports the development of key competencies.

Sarah Barrer - Fundraising Manager

Sarah has an extensive client relationship management background and has worked in Christchurch, Wellington and London for Corporate businesses over the last 10 years.
Sarah has successfully increased revenue streams in Event Management,  Recruitment and Retail businesses and has been able to apply parts of these strategies to the Fundraising area at Cholmondeley.
Sarah has experience working with the private, public and not for profit sectors. Sarah leads the Fundraising team at Cholmondeley which is responsible for Fundraising, Marketing, Communications and Public Relations.

Shelley Keach - Fundraiser

Shelley has extensive experience working in New Zealand as a Professional Fundraiser in the Not for Profit sector. These include the YHA, Woman's Refuge and also the Methodist Mission.
Shelley has strong experience and a keen interest in working with Capital Campaigns and understanding the long standing donors that support Cholmondeley.
Shelley is the Southern Division Representative for the Fundraising Institute of New Zealand.

Anne Haylock - Receptionist/Administration

Anne was the minute secretary for the Red Cross and then Habitat for Humanity. Anne is responsible for managing reception and administration for both Cholmondeley Home and School.
Anne will often be the first voice that the Cholmondeley clients and supporters hear. Now they know who she is!
