When a child is vulnerable and a family is in crisis Cholmondeley (Chum-ley) steps up to provide short term care and education.

A little bit
about us

Cholmondeley provides short-term and emergency respite care for children aged 3 - 12 years, (5 - 12 while at Living Springs) with the aim of alleviating immediate family pressures which exist for children and their parents when the usual supports are not enough or not available.

Can we help?

Our care is centred on the child, enabling them to celebrate the experience of childhood.
Through integrating the two key aspects of care and education we give children a voice, allow them to be themselves, help them to discover their strengths, learn new skills and develop confidence, ultimately becoming more resilient to the challenges they may face.

We need your
support

Cholmondeley is a 'true blue' childrens charity supported primarily by the community, allowing decisions to be made at a local level.

We have cared for more than 25,500 children, since 1925 and every year it costs around $1.5 million to keep Cholmondeley operating.
